13th March 2003 - Sketch Art update

Six sketches uploaded. I'm not a big Pokemon fan or anything, but some of the monster designs are cool, and can be turned into Sonic style furries pretty well ^^ There's a Growlithe, a Nidoran male, an uber cute Eevee and her evolution into Umbreon, a Houndoom, and, of course, Pikachu.

The first installment of a Sonic/Burning Rangers crossover is in the Sonic art section. Tails is Shou Amabane, Knuckles is Big Landman. I've been wanting to do this for a while now, and I finally got around to it. More to come.

Something slightly different in that I didn't actually draw today's update myself. I created the concept of Obsidian Daedalus a while ago as a version of Crystal Daedalus fallen to Darkness. CD drew the Necromancer Obsidian and asked me to CG it. So I did. And now it's in the fan character section. Elemental magic effects are fun... ^__^

11th February 2003 - Rabid Virus Gift Art update!

The Spiky-thing breeder (read: "female hedgehog" - The Virus) known as "Becky" has better taste than I would have give-given credit. Her picture-portrait of me captures my fearsome and inspiring presence magnificently! I am obviously about to smite some fool-foolish surface-dwellers with my powerful sorcery in this new image in the Gift Art section. Notice that I now have more fan art than my good-good twin Virus. Shadow's badass right? Metal Sonic even moreso. Well combine the two then give it badass powers. What powers you ask? I dunno, how about the power of flight? That do anything for ya? Did a sketch request for Lothar Hex. Lothar's a bounty hunter cyborg echidna, and the pic's in Sketch Art. In addition, Eastwood did a sketch of a decidedly creepy-looking Virus chao, and that would be in the Gift Art section.

31st January 2003 - Art update

Been a pretty good month for new art, eh? Today there's a pic of Janet Hedgehog, as part of a trade with Dark Hedgehog. His side of the trade comes in the form of a very nice rendition of Rabid Virus, which can be found in a new art subsection entitled Gift Art. A sketch of Virus by Dash the Hedgehog is there too. No less than nine sketches updated, depicting the members of the Mobius Forum's Fallen Inquisition. Former upholders of justice, drinkers of coffee, and persecutors of badgers, the Inquisition became corrupted by the Darkness they sought to combat. Now the entire fate of the Forum World hangs in the balance, as the Darkness threatens to envelop the entire MoFo.

Warning, viewing this newly updated pic could be hazardous to your health... your dental health. It's so teeth-rottingly saccharine you wouldn't believe it ^__^ Cream and Cheese, the new characters from the forthcoming Gameboy Advance game Sonic Advance 2.

To take the sickly taste away, head on over to the new website for the Grim Darkness. There's a lot to be added, but for now there's an in-depth description of the Immaterium and everything connected to it: Gods, Daemons, and Angels, Mobian myths and legends, and the arts of Sorcery and Psionics. Over time it will become an indispensable guide to all things Grim, with information about history, organisations, characters, technology, etc. as well as fan art and fiction, humour and parodies, and info about past present and future roleplays.

29th August 2002 - Art update

Happy birthday to MoForumer CjTails! His kitsune character appears in the fan character section. Also, due to popular demand (ie. one person making a passing suggestion), I made a tutorial of sorts. It's just a series of images illustrating how I created the Cj pic. Y'know construction lines and stuff. Actually the way I draw is a lot more haphazard and hit and miss than the tutorial suggests ^^; But the basic techniques are intact, and it might help you would-be artists hone your skillz. Maybe... I dunno... Let me know if it's useful and I might be persuaded to make some more (with real Sonic characters this time).

I have some fond memories of Sonic the Comic, not least of which concern the Brotherhood of Metallix. "Metallix" was what Fleetway called Metal Sonic, and he was just one member of a army of robot hedgehogs led by the Emperor Metallix (modelled on the giant red Metal Sonic from Chaotix). They turned against Robotnik after amassing an unstoppable legion, and Robotnik was forced to turn to Sonic for help in destroying them.

Todays art update features the Brootherhood. For the SegaSonic purists I've also made an alternate version with Metal Sonic alone.

The Mobius Forum's own Tergonaut, Omni-suited upholder of RP justice, features in today's update. I think this is the first piece of non-furry art at Perfectly Chaotic so far. Of course the reason for that is because I suck at drawing humans... On that note I'd like to thank Miss Samus Aran, without whom this new pic wouldn't have been possible ^_^;

Bah, I know it's late, but I didn't have my stylus pen, so I couldn't get the pic finished in time ¬¬; Anyway, happy belated birthday Sonic, and a commemorative piece is now available in the art section.

Vote for me at Sonic Online! My entry is currently in 5th position. I wouldn't mind losing, but two of the higher placed entries aren't even new hedgehog characters - You're supposed to create your own character, not just draw Super Sonic! Surely that's cheating?! *pouts*

Sonic Online, a French fansite, is holding a drawing contest in celebration of Sonic's 11th birthday, which is this month. Entrants must send pictures of their hedgehog characters. Until now I didn't have any hedgies, so introducing: Nix the Hedgehog, new image in the fan character art section. Visitors to Sonic Online will vote for their favourite entry, so may the best hedgehog win! ^^

Episode 1 of the Grim Darkness roleplay has begun at last! Set 34 years before the events of the SatAM cartoon, "Into the Darkness" should set us off scourging and purging through this new sinister and corrupt Mobius. Watch this space for Grim-related fan fiction and art to follow.

16th May 2002 - Fan fiction update

Yes indeedy, a new SA2 adaptation: Radical City, comprising Shadow's Radical Highway, Sonic's Big Foot boss, and then the encounter between the two hedgehogs. You know where to find it ;)

You may have noticed I still have yet to write any original fan fics (as opposed to adaptations). That's mainly down to a lack of inspiration for any of the current Sonic continuities. Well that situation may soon be rectified, because myself and several others are working on developing a whole new Sonic universe that should provide plenty of possibilities. You can check the progress of this unholy union of SatAM and Warhammer 40,000 at The Grim Darkness Messageboard.

I've been promising my brother I'd draw his character for weeks now. Finally I got around to finishing the demon-possessed urban ninja rat Plague. 'Tis in the fan character section.

Lesson for today - don't pick up ancient katana swords encrusted with glowing black runes. Otherwise you could end up with a evil demonic alter ego too.

Geh, been a while, huh? ^^; Eh, what ya gonna do?

A long time ago I drew several crossover pics of Sonic characters in Resident Evil outfits. They're old, they suck, and you ain't seeing 'em :p Now that I'm actually pretty good at drawing Sonic and co, I remade those old pics, "digitally remastered" them, if you will ^^ They're all in one big image in the "Original" art section, which I am now officially expanding to include Sonic crossovers.

Welcome to The Virus' new website; a major overhaul from the old, untitled site. This is where I'll be posting all my art, writings, animations and various other bits and pieces that I knock together. Basically it's a general creative outlet for me. And since I'd be doing this stuff anyway, I may as well share it with the whole WWW, right? At the moment it's all Sonic-related, but that could very well change once I figure out how to draw other stuff besides hedgehogs and echidnas and whatnot =P
